Captain Barry Catlin

F/V Miss Quahog is owned and operated by Captain Barry Catlin who is a class of 2001 Maine Maritime Academy graduate, with 40 years of fishing experience in the Gulf of Maine. Captain Catlin has chalked up a few miles on the high seas, sailing and fishing in every ocean except the Antarctic. Barry’s adventures started when his grandfather Arnold (Skeet) Catlin build him his first boat at 7.

His grandfather built his next 3 boats JaBaJaTa, Pup and Soft Parade. Boat 5 was the indestructible Rambunctious, followed by Katie Lynn and finally the new build from Farrin’s Boat shop in Walpole, Me the absolutely stunning 45 Young brothers Miss Quahog.

Captain Barry is heavily salted and loves sharing knowledge with anglers of all experience levels. Fishing is more than ”just in the blood”, for him it is a genetic mutation that was inherited from previous generations.
